What. A. Night.
I am here to report that the 2016 Saint Martin’s University Gala: A Taste of Brazil was a complete success. It was a night filled with amazing food, good spirits and generous donations to student scholarships.
We were so grateful for the support of Eataly Brazil’s renowned Chef Ligia Karazawa and Travel Channel’s Bizarre Foods, Andrew Zimmern. With their generosity, as a University we were able to raise $1.1 Million dollars for student scholarships.
Although, the night was glamorous and full of delicious food and good times, it is no question that the Saint Martin’s University Gala exists in order to support our students and make school possible.
Being a student at Saint Martin’s my educational journey was made possible by the generous donations to our University’s scholarship funds. I graduated in 2016 with my undergraduate degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and a minor in Psychology. I was able to do so without any student loans and debt. Now I am attended Saint Martin’s for a final year to achieve and graduate again but with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration in the Spring of 2017.
When my journey at Saint Martin’s comes to an end, I will be graduating with two degrees, and debt and student loan free. I owe this great accomplishment to not only my parents and the athletic department but also the generous donors who continue to give to such an amazing cause.
As a student at Saint Martin’s I am so grateful for the opportunities it has provided me and I am honored to be a part of such a generous and giving community. Thank you to everyone who came and enjoyed the evening, especially those who so generously donated to scholarships for many students like me.
